You don't need hours in the gym. Some of my most successful clients are getting great results with just 20 minutes of focused training.
Why Short Workouts Work
Science backs this up. It's not about how long you train - it's about how effectively you use that time.
These are the exact workouts my clients use when pressed for time:
1. The School Run Workout (No Equipment)
Do each move for 40 seconds, rest for 20 seconds, repeat 4 times:
Squats
Push-ups (from knees is fine)
Lunges
Plank hold (start with 20 seconds)
Mountain climbers
Perfect for: Those mornings when the kids are ready early and you've got 20 minutes before leaving your home.
2. The Living Room Tone-Up (Just Dumbbells)
You'll need: A pair of dumbbells (or water bottles if you're just starting)
30 seconds each, 15 seconds rest, 4 rounds:
Dumbbell squats
Bent over rows
Shoulder press
Reverse lunges with weights
3. The Park Special
Next time you're at the park with the kids:
Walking lunges between benches
Step-ups on the bench
Incline push-ups using the bench
Tricep dips on bench edge
Sprint bursts on the path
